A belated post on this. Ive recently launched a forum called Waffle, see here. its up and running a month now and has some nice foundations laid. Its roots come from a forum I was running at www.carlowentertainment.ie.
The core users from CarlowEntertainment.ie have all ported over. The aim of this site is to attract users from outside the Carlow area, i.e. a more national level. It will cover a wide range of topics and of course the focal point will be the Waffle board itself, where all the nonsense can be posted!

Off The Clock Imports website goes live

Off The Clock (O.T.C.) Imports is new venture by a friend of mine, Philip Moore. He asked me to rejig his website. One or two snags to be ironed out, but other than that the site is fully functional.

New year, new look.

Spent some time this week revamping carlowentertainment.ie. Still a bit of work to do on the front end. The majority of the work was focused on tidying up the code. It is now W3C compliant.
The amount of files has been cut considerably. I noticed through my webstats that spammers had been searching for “allinurl: add.php” and various other generic page names. Ive solved this by combining files and using dynamic links to find the add pages.
Over the last year or so, I have been using a script to validate my forms and it has really grown. I can easily add words/phrases/combinations that should be blocked and it is dealing with the spammers very well.
