New York Knicks @ Madison Square Garden
October 25th, 2007
Before we left Ireland, I bought two tickets for a basketball game between the New York Knicks and The Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden. Went to the game last night, turns out it was a pre season game
The arena wasnt even half full so didnt get to experience the Madison Square Garden atmosphere. Its a fantastic arena, very small and close to the court. We had the third cheapest tickets and to be honest they were fine.
Knicks won the game. Im still struggling with some of the rules. Some of the skill on show was unbelieveable. One guy in particular, Nate Robinson for the Knicks was very entertaining. He seemed to be running the show!

Enjoyed your piece on the garden. Sorry you didn’t make it to a regular season game, remember this; Basketball season (when it really means something & counts) begins early november. Knicks first regular season home game (@ MSG) will be Friday Nov. 4 against Minnesota. Nate Robinson is one of our guards, He is a dynamic player for us (not in the starting five) and is in his third year in the NBA (National Basketball Association) and for the New York Knicks. You can follow the New York Knicks and hear/see what fans are talking about if you visit http://www.knicksdefense.com You’re just in time, because the season is about to start and Knicks fans are super excited. Check us out…. Welcome to the world of Orange and Blue.

We were considering buying tickets for the home opener, but $100 seemed a tad expensive. Is that the cheapest available? Will definitely try make a competitive game.

Gary, The New York Knicks has an extremely high payroll, and it is of course reflected in the ticket prices.
